What is required to book an appointment?

To schedule a notarization, please provide:

  • The type of document

  • Number of pages

  • Number of signers

  • A copy of the document (for review only — no editing)

Appointments are available weekdays and weekends.

Once your documents are reviewed and the date/time/location is confirmed, your appointment will be scheduled.

How do I book an appointment?

Visit the Contact page and submit:

  • Document type

  • Number of signers

  • Document upload

  • Preferred date/time

You will receive confirmation once the appointment is approved.

Can I book an appointment if I live outside of Texas?

Yes — as long as you are physically present in Texas at the time of the appointment.

Do you travel to my location?

Yes. Savoy Signings is a mobile notary serving the Greater Katy/Houston area.

How long does a notarization take?

Most appointments take 5–15 minutes, depending on the number of documents and complexity.

What forms of identification are acceptable?

All signers must present valid, unexpired, government‑issued ID, such as:

  • Driver’s license

  • State ID

  • U.S. passport

  • Military ID

  • Permanent resident card

  • Foreign passport (with photo + signature)

What forms of ID are NOT accepted?
  • Social Security cards

  • Birth certificates

  • Work badges

  • Temporary paper IDs without photos

  • Expired IDs

What if the name on my ID doesn’t match the document?

The name on the ID must reasonably match the name on the document.

If the discrepancy is too large, the notarization cannot proceed.

What documents can you NOT notarize?

I cannot notarize:

  • Birth, death, or marriage certificates

  • Certified copies of vital records

  • I‑9 forms (as a notary)

  • Wills requiring in‑person witnesses

  • Immigration forms requiring legal advice

  • Blank or incomplete documents

  • Documents in a language I cannot read

  • Court documents requiring a judge’s signature or seal

Can you notarize documents in a language other than English?

Only if the notary can read and understand the language.

Currently, Savoy Signings notarizes English‑language documents only.

Can I send you my documents to edit or prepare?

No. Savoy Signings cannot edit, prepare, or complete documents.

Please consult an attorney for legal advice.

Do documents need to be complete before the appointment?

Yes. All documents must be fully filled out with no blank spaces.

If the document is incomplete, the notarization cannot proceed.

Document Eligibility

What are the requirements for a RON appointment?

You must have:

  • A device with camera + microphone

  • Stable internet connection

  • A valid government ID

  • Ability to pass KBA identity verification

  • A quiet, well‑lit environment

What documents are eligible for RON?

Most documents are eligible, including:

  • Affidavits

  • Acknowledgments

  • Jurats

  • Power of attorney

  • Real estate documents (if lender/title allows)

  • Business agreements

  • Parental consent forms

What documents are NOT eligible for RON?
  • Documents requiring in‑person witnesses

  • Some medical directives

  • Documents rejected by the receiving agency

  • Documents requiring physical presence by law

Remote Online Notarization (RON)

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, card, and check.

Invoices are sent electronically.

Is my information kept private?
