A non‑refundable deposit is required to secure all mobile notary appointments. This deposit reserves your appointment time, covers administrative preparation, and ensures availability for your requested service.

Deposit Amount

The deposit amount varies by service type and will be shown during the booking process.

The price displayed on the booking page (“starting at $10”) reflects the Texas state fee per notarized signature and is not the deposit or the total cost of your appointment.

Your final total — including the mobile fee, mileage, and notary fees — will be calculated after your appointment request is submitted and before your appointment is approved.

What the Deposit Covers

  • Appointment reservation

  • Scheduling and administrative preparation

  • Initial document review (if applicable)

  • Holding your time slot and preventing double‑booking

Remaining Balance

After your appointment request is submitted, Savoy Signings will review your details and calculate your final total based on:

• $25 flat mobile fee.

• $0.70 per mile round‑trip from ZIP 77449.

• $10 per notarized signature (Texas state fee).

• Any applicable after‑hours, rush, or holiday fees.

You will receive your final total after review and before your appointment is approved. The remaining balance is due before the appointment begins.

Non‑Refundable Terms

Deposits are non‑refundable under all circumstances, including:

  • Client cancellation

  • No‑show

  • Incorrect or incomplete information provided at booking

  • Failure to provide valid identification

  • Failure to provide documents at the appointment

If Savoy Signings must cancel for any reason, your deposit will be refunded or transferred to a new appointment.

Rescheduling

Appointments may be rescheduled once without an additional deposit if notice is provided at least 4 hours before the appointment time. Less than 4 hours’ notice requires a new deposit.

Final Confirmation

Your appointment is not confirmed until:

  1. The deposit is paid

  2. Your details are reviewed

  3. You receive an approval message with your final total

Savoy Signings values your time and ours. To ensure fairness, efficiency, and availability for all clients, the following cancellation terms apply to all appointments.

1. General Cancellation Terms

Cancellations must be made at least 4 hours before your scheduled appointment time. Cancellations made with proper notice will not incur additional fees; however, the deposit remains non‑refundable.

If Savoy Signings must cancel for any reason, your deposit may be refunded or transferred to a new appointment.

2. Late Cancellations (Less Than 4 Hours Notice)

Cancellations made within 4 hours of the appointment time are considered late cancellations.

Late cancellations result in:

  • Forfeiture of the deposit, and

  • A new deposit required to reschedule

This protects the reserved time slot and travel preparation already completed.

3. No‑Show Policy

A “no‑show” occurs when:

  • The client is not present at the appointment location

  • The client is more than 10 minutes late without communication

  • The client does not answer calls/texts upon arrival

  • The client fails to provide valid ID or required documents

No‑shows forfeit the deposit and require a new deposit to rebook.

Mileage and travel time already spent cannot be refunded.

4. Rescheduling Policy

Clients may reschedule one time without an additional deposit if:

  • Notice is given at least 4 hours in advance, and

  • The new appointment is within 7 days of the original date

Rescheduling with less than 4 hours’ notice requires a new deposit.

5. Appointment Denial or Termination

Savoy Signings reserves the right to deny or terminate an appointment if:

  • The signer lacks valid identification

  • The signer appears coerced or unwilling

  • Documents are incomplete or altered

  • The appointment location is unsafe

  • The client refuses to pay the remaining balance before the appointment begins

In these cases, the deposit is forfeited.

6. Travel Already Begun

If the notary has already begun traveling to the appointment location:

  • The deposit is forfeited

  • Mileage and travel fees may still be due

This protects against wasted travel time and fuel costs.

7. Weather, Emergencies, and Unforeseen Circumstances

If severe weather, emergencies, or unexpected events occur:

  • Appointments may be rescheduled without penalty

  • Deposits may be transferred to a new date

  • Safety will always be prioritized
