Texas notary fees are regulated by the Texas Secretary of State. Additional mobile service fees apply for travel, printing, location access, and complex appointments.

Notarial Acts (State‑Regulated Fees)

  • Protesting a bill or note (nonacceptance/nonpayment) — $4

  • Each notice of protest — $1

  • Protesting in all other cases — $4

  • Certificate & seal to a protest — $4

  • Notarial act not otherwise listed — $10

  • Acknowledgment or proof of deed/instrument

    • First signature — $10

    • Each additional signature — $1

  • Administering an oath or affirmation — $10

  • Certificate under seal (not otherwise provided) — $10

  • Copy of record or paper — $1 per page

  • Deposition (per 100 words) — $1

  • Swearing a witness to a deposition — $10

Note: Signers must be able to effectively communicate, comprehend, and understand what they are signing!

  • Mobile Fee: $25

  • Mileage — $0.70 per mile (round trip from ZIP 77449)

  • Jail / Courthouse — +$15

  • Real estate offices — +$15

    *A non‑refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. Remaining balance is due before the appointment begins.

  • Printing (up to 200 pages) — $20

    • Additional pages — $0.25 each

  • Scanning (up to 200 pages) — $20

    • Additional pages — $0.25 each

  • Faxing (up to 200 pages) — $20

    • Additional pages — $0.25 each

  • Cancellation (before travel begins) — $15

  • Cancellation (en route or <2 hours before appointment) — $30

  • No‑show or refusal to sign — Full appointment fee

  • After‑hours / weekend fee — $10

  • Emergency / same‑day service — +$15

  • Holiday fee — $25

  • Grace period — 10 minutes

  • Late fee after grace period — $5 per 10 minutes
